Classes will be offered for persons interested in qualifying to serve as an Onslow County Schools bus driver. The class is scheduled for December 7, 8, and 9, 2009 from 8:30 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. Persons interested in becoming a school bus driver must have a valid Driver's License and be at least 18 years old with at least six months driving experience. Potential drivers must have no moving violations or DWI in the past 5 years, have at least 20/40 vision in each eye with or without corrective lenses, and should be mentally and physically competent to operate a school bus.
Interested individuals who meet the above criteria must file a completed application and three letters of reference with the Onslow County Schools Human Resources Department by December 3, 2009.
