Trades Day - "Day of Champions"

Trades Day 2017, “The Day of Champions,” brought out many member in the community to support students from Onslow County and Jones County Schools. Parents, teachers, potential employers, and even state and local officials gathered March 25, at Coastal Carolina Community College to watch various challenges.

Representing skilled trades including automotive, welding, construction, masonry, drafting, electrical, and new this year, culinary and digital electronics, close to 125 talented OCS students showed off their skills, networked and interacted with industry leaders.  And at the end of the day, many received awards and gifts for winning their respective events.
