Authors' Showcase

Writings of students grades 3 —7 were shared and celebrated at the second annual Authors' Showcase May 23, at Blue Creek Elementary School.

Participaing authors' works were selected by their schools to be published. At the special celebration several students read their submissions to an audience of their peers, teachers, coaches, administrators, parents and other family members.

Birdy Jones, the author of "Mister Cool," an anti-bullying picture book, was the special guest speaker. Jones made a presentation and hosted a question and answer session.

The event culminated with a reception and authors' presentation of the book containing all the writings.
