Onslow County is located on the southeastern coast of North Carolina, one of the few counties facing directly on the ocean.  The Onslow County School System serves approximately 23,500 students.  The System has twenty elementary schools, eight middle schools, seven high schools, one early childhood center, and one alternative learning center.
